Level 1 International Award in Principles of Health & Safety

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification has been developed to be suitable for those working in any type of environment as well as those about to start work for the first time.

The qualification takes into account recognised best-practice principles of health and safety and allows learners to identify hazards and risks involved in the workplace, know the benefits of maintaining a tidy and well organised setting and state the importance of personal hygiene. 

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 4 hours of learning.

Assessment method

This qualification is assessed by an end of course, 30 minutes - multiple-choice examination.

Level 2 International Award in Health & Safety in the workplace

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification has been developed for those who are working in any private or public sector working environment and providing them with knowledge of basic health and safety practices essential in the workplace. 

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 6 hours of learning.

Topics within this qualification include; responsibilities of individuals for health and safety in the workplace, risk assessments and risk control and an understanding of the procedures that should be in place to deal with health and safety incidents.

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination.

Level 3 International Award in Health & Safety in the workplace

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is aimed at learners already working in the capacity of supervisor, manager or team leader and also those who are preparing to start work at this level.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 18 hours of learning.

Level 2 International Award in Risk Assessment

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification has been developed for those working in any environment who need to be more risk aware by raising their knowledge of risk in the workplace and basic things they can do to control it.


How long will it take?

To complete this qualification learners should expect to undertake approximately 6 hours of learning.

Level 2 International Award in Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification has been designed specifically for those working in the role of a fire safety warden. Fire wardens are individuals who have been designated the responsibility to support the ongoing management of fire safety. Their role is to contribute to the safety of those who may need to be evacuated in the instance of a potential fire safety breach.

How long will it take?

To complete this qualification, learners should expect to undertake 8 hours of guided learning.
